D. Commandantes General, Provincias Internas (Interior Provinces)
The organization of the office was periodically changed, in 1786-1787, it was subdivided into three regions with Texas in the Eastern Provinces; beginning in 1787-1790 there were two divisions, Texas still in the Eastern Provinces. During the period 1790-1810, it was again a single command. Finally 1810-1821, it was again divided into Eastern and Western divisions.
